Delivery Confirmation

A retired USPS service name for a basic delivery scan; today the same function is built into USPS Tracking on most mail classes.
Delivery Confirmation was a paid add-on that recorded the date and time a piece was delivered, without a signature. USPS folded that function into standard Tracking years ago, so most current mail classes that carry a tracking number already provide the equivalent record at no separate charge.
The term still turns up in older articles and forms, which is worth knowing if a reference or a court cites it by name — it is describing what a tracking number does now, not a separate purchase.
