DOCUMENT
Terms of service
These terms cover your use of paperplane (“we”, “us”). Short version: you pay per letter, we print and mail it via USPS, you promise the content is lawful and yours to send.
The service
We convert your document into a printed, enveloped, posted letter handed to the United States Postal Service or another carrier. We are not the carrier: once a piece is inducted into the mail stream, delivery timing and handling are governed by the carrier's own terms. Delivery estimates are estimates.
Payment
Your card is authorized at checkout and captured only after your letter passes screening and is accepted for printing. Refused, failed, or canceled orders release the authorization automatically. Once a letter is printed, the sale is final — we cannot pull paper back out of the mail.
Your responsibilities
- You have the right to send the content and it complies with our content policy and applicable law.
- Addresses are accurate; we verify deliverability but cannot guarantee an address is the right one.
- You are the sender of record for postal purposes; your return address appears on the envelope.
Our responsibilities
- Print what you sent, without alteration, on the class of service you paid for.
- Induct it into the mail stream within one business day of screening approval.
- Refund in full anything we fail to print and mail.
Liability
Our total liability for any order is capped at the price of that order. We are not liable for consequential damages, missed legal deadlines, or carrier delays — for deadline-critical mail, use Certified with electronic Return Receipt and allow margin.
