Google Drive → mailed PDF
Watch a Google Drive folder and mail every new file as-is: paperplane’s Zapier, Make, or n8n action fetches the file’s share link as pdf_url and mails it from $1.99 — no manual "Choose from Drive" step.

Supported triggers and actions
| Trigger | Action |
|---|---|
| New file added to a watched Drive folder | Send Letter, pdf_url = the file’s share link |
| File updated (e.g. a template regenerated) | Send Letter with the refreshed file |
How to set it up
- 1In Zapier, Make, or n8n, use the Google Drive "New File in Folder" trigger on the folder you want to watch.
- 2Add the paperplane Send Letter action and map the trigger’s file link into pdf_url.
- 3Add recipient and return address fields — from the file name, a paired spreadsheet row, or fixed values for a single recurring recipient.
- 4Sandbox-test the mapping first (free, nothing mailed), then go live — every new file in the folder mails itself.

This wraps the same pdf_url field the Google Drive hub page documents for manual sends — the only difference is the file link comes from an automation trigger instead of a person clicking "Choose from Drive." We fetch exactly the file the trigger names and print it as-is; PDFs are deleted 30 days after delivery like every other letter.
Or skip the automation tool: ask Claude or ChatGPT
Every integration here sits on the same MCP endpoint agents use directly. Instead of wiring a trigger to an action, ask Claude or ChatGPT to draft and mail the letter. Same three tools (quote_letter, send_letter, get_letter_status), same price, same free sandbox.
Send your first letter from Google Drive.
Sandbox runs the whole pipeline for free and mails nothing. Live sends start at $1.99, one all-in price.

Common questions
Does the Drive file need to be shared publicly?
It needs to be fetchable by URL (e.g. "Anyone with the link"), not indexed or public — the same requirement every pdf_url order has.
What if the file isn’t a print-ready PDF yet?
Google Docs convert to PDF automatically when exported; other file types should be converted to PDF in the workflow (e.g. an export step) before mapping into pdf_url — we print exactly what the PDF shows.
Can this mail the same file to a list of recipients?
Yes — pair this trigger with a Google Sheets row for each recipient (see the Google Sheets bulk mail merge page) and reuse the same pdf_url for every row.
