Parcel Select
By Justin Winter · Updated August 28, 2026
USPS's ground shipping service for packages, typically used by high-volume commercial shippers who deposit mail deep into the USPS network.
Parcel Select is USPS's lower-cost, ground-based package class, generally slower than Priority Mail and aimed at commercial shippers who can drop mail off closer to its final USPS sorting facility to earn a discount.
It ships packages, not letters or flat documents, and is unrelated to any of the classes a print-and-mail letter service uses.
